Our Programs
At Rose City Learning Center, we offer classes designed to meet your English Language needs. Our morning classes run from 9-11:30 am and our afternoon classes are from 12:30-3:00pm. We provide foundational English classes for beginners, as well as English for Special Purposes for Intermediate and advanced learners tailored to specific purposes. On Fridays, we offer a Community ESOL class where all are welcome to gather, practice conversational English skills, and listen to guest speakers from the surrounding Norwich Community Class on Friday is from 10-12.

Foundational English
Foundational English class is for learners with no or limited English proficiency. Participants will learn and use digital literacy skills and be given numerous opportunities to participate in meaningful language interactions to accelerate English acquisition.

English for Special Purposes
English for Special Purposes class is designed for learners who have already acquired basic functional literacy and English conversational skills. Participants will learn and use digital literacy skills and be given numerous opportunities to participate in meaningful language interactions to accelerate English acquisition.

Community ESL & Civic Participation
Community ESL and Civic Participation is created for learners of all proficiency levels and interests. Led by the Support Services Director, these open enrollment classes meet in person or virtually for two hours every Friday morning. They will be recorded and posted for learners to access later.
